UConn football lost to FIU last week and in the process erased most of the goodwill it had built up from last year’s success. Going into halftime of the last two games down 21-0 and 24-3 will do that.
Aman and Tucker hopped on to break down the FIU debacle and discuss whether UConn fans should be encouraged that the Huskies rallied to make it a one-score game, or discouraged that it got so out of hand. Even if FIU is better than it was last year, no team of that caliber should be out-classing UConn on its own field.
We also previewed this Saturday’s Duke game. The Blue Devils are ranked 18th in the AP Poll and hold a 3-0 record after going 9-4 last year in their first season under Mike Elko, who was previously a defensive coordinator at Texas A&M and Notre Dame and before that under Dave Clawson at Wake Forest. We thought this would be a tough game before the season, looks like it will be.
