UConn fans are right to feel anxious as the Huskies sit 0-2 after a stinker at Georgia State last week.
Jim Mora’s squad has demonstrated some glaring weaknesses on both sides of the ball, but especially on offense — UConn’s QBs have combined for 379 passing yards in two games, and Week 1 starter Joe Fagnano is out for the season. The offensive line and running backs struggled immensely at Georgia State.
Ta’Quan Roberson is the next man up under center. He’s got a chance to get the UConn attack on track against a team that allowed 39 points last week in a win. Defensively, the Huskies made mistakes and allowed too many big plays against Georgia State, and they’ve had trouble stopping running QB in both games.
The Huskies’ Week 3 opponent, FIU (2-1), went 4-8 last year and is one of the lowest-rated teams in the country, but still a threat. For the first time this season, UConn is favored as they get ready to host the Panthers at 3:30 p.m. at The Rent. The spread is around seven points, depending on your source.
Enjoy!
